What is iVybe?
iVybe is a real-world social discovery app. Instead of showing you people across the whole city, it shows you people who are genuinely near you right now — at the same venue or place — for dating, chatting, or just meeting someone new.
The idea is simple: first comes the Vybe (a signal in the room), then comes the Bump (taking it into real life).
How do I sign up?
You sign in with Apple or Google — there's no password to create or remember. Then you add a first name, your age, a photo, and pick a mode. That's it; you're ready to vybe.
Do I have to be 18?
Yes. iVybe is strictly for adults 18 and over.
What do the three modes mean?
Dating is for when you're open to a spark. Chatting is for good conversation with someone new. Meeting is for making friends and finding your crowd.
You only ever see people in a compatible mode, and you can change your mode anytime.
Does iVybe track my location?
No. iVybe only knows where you are while you're actively vybing, and it never keeps a history of where you've been. The app works in the foreground — when you open it — not silently in the background.
For the full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
Can other people see my exact location?
No. Others get a sense that you're nearby, but never your exact coordinates, your distance, or the venue you're at. Before you connect, someone nearby sees only your first name, your photo, and your mode.
How do I block or report someone?
You can block or report anyone from within the app. Blocking is immediate and mutual — they can't see or reach you, and you won't see them. Reporting sends the details to our safety team to act on.
If you ever feel unsafe, trust that instinct and remove yourself from the situation first.
What happens when I decline a Vybe?
Declining is always silent. The other person is never told they were declined — it looks the same as a moment that simply passed. No one gets stung.
Why did my chat disappear?
That's by design. Chats on iVybe are tied to the moment — they're meant to fade when the moment does, rather than pile up in an inbox forever. If a connection matters, that's what the Bump is for: taking it into real life.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
You control notifications in the app's settings, and you can also manage them in your device's system settings. iVybe only sends notifications for things that matter — like a Vybe arriving — never noise.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from within the app at any time. When you do, your data is erased — this is a true deletion, not a deactivation. Your connection with Apple sign-in is revoked as part of it.
For exactly what's removed and what's retained, see the deletion section of our Privacy Policy.
I signed in but can't get in / the app isn't working.
First, make sure you're on the latest version and have a working connection. iVybe needs location permission to show you people nearby — if it's been denied, the core experience can't work, so check that in your device settings.
Still stuck? Reach out below and tell us what you're seeing.
iVybe helps you find people near you, but we can't vet anyone for you. When you meet someone in person, use good judgment: meet somewhere public, tell a friend where you're going, and leave if something feels off. Your safety comes first, always.
Still need help?
We read every message. Tell us what's going on and we'll get back to you.
